Nature Is The Most Blessed Darshan
A lot of people ask, “where can I go for sustenance? How can I fill myself? When I’m feeling run down, how can I rejuvenate? I’m just too tired to dredge it out from within…” This does happen, and I always say the best rejuvenation comes from Nature. Your greatest darshan comes from the trees, and the grasses, and the earth. When you’re feeling run down, when you’re feeling like you just can’t find that happy moment, just put yourself in Nature.
Somehow, Nature sets it all right again. I don’t know how, I don’t know why. We can analyze but the truth of the matter is that Nature is the most beautiful, the most giving darshan you can possibly get. And darshan, for anyone who doesn’t know what that word means, means blessing from a Master; energy given to you from a Master. So let Nature give you the darshan you need when you are not quite able to supply it for yourself.
That’s the one place you can look outside of yourself and you’ll find what you need. Nature is ever-giving; never stops. This whole time we’ve been talking here, there have been hummingbirds flitting about with their beautiful, fluttery wings; butterflies everywhere, and flowers, kitty cats playing. There’s hawks soaring overhead; there’s a bird over there, feeding in the feeder.
Nature – so rejuvenating! Just looking at those beautiful flowers, doesn’t that make you feel better? So when you’re feeling run down, when you’re feeling down and out, go sit under those trees. Go sit by that ocean, go gaze at a flower, meditate on the dandelion. Let Nature touch you, have your feet on the ground, breathe the fresh air.
You’re a bio-carbon unit! You belong on the earth; you are part of the earth; your body is made of earth. You are the earth, so commune with yourself. You are the Nature; it’s something that resonates with you. There’s a book out, I don’t remember what it’s called, exactly. I think it’s by Greg Braden; Zero Point, or something like that. It talks about how the earth hums at a certain frequency, 7 point something Hertz, and that our bodies resonate with that particular frequency as well, and when you’re resonating with that particular frequency, there’s a sense of well-being.
So how better to be in that frequency than to surround yourself with it on all sides? If you’re not a hearty type, and you can’t hike deep into the wilderness (like to hike deep into the wilderness far from civilization, places where people don’t go. I got a lot of rejuvenation from that, lived out there for many years.) But Nature, Nature is your answer for the healing , for rejuvenation, for the darshan you seek from a Master. Nature is there to give it to you, and the little critters will join right in and make it all fun for you. (Christine Breese picks up a kitty cat who’s been playing at her feet.) She’s been frisking about, can’t help herself… and you’ll feel more joyful too , just being around Nature.
When you’re feeling down, go lay in the grass!
