You Are The Source of Unconditional Love
There’s a big difference between being love, and wanting love. Being love is being the source; wanting love is wanting other people to be the source. But you’re here to be the source of love. You’re not here to get love from other people; you’re not here to get anything. You’re here to be the love, to be the source. Everyone is out there looking so hard for the source of love; everyone wants love, and they’re all looking to other people to be the source of love.
Well, who’s going to be the source? Who’s going to take on the job? If everyone is looking, and no one is being the source, then no one’s going to find any love! So that’s your job! You be the source of love. Someone here came over for a little pet. (Christine’s kitty cat comes over and she reaches down to pet the cat.) Be the source of love, you can give it. Yes, yes – I’ll give you more love (picks up kitty, laughs), she wants more.
This one, what she wants to do is, she gets up in your lap and she wants to get up and be real close and get lots of love, but then she squirms when she gets there. She “doth protest too much!” And as soon as you put her down, she comes back for more (puts cat down).
Isn’t that how humans are, a little bit? So be the source of love, even if people might squirm away from that, and then come back for more as soon as you stop petting them. You are the source. You are the love that you’ve been looking for, and you are the love that everyone else is looking for as well. You’re the beacon in the darkness. You’re the light in the pitch black of night. You are the love of God, given to others.
You can do it! The source is in YOU.
